Gentle Yoga Course: Spring Series πΌ
This six-session journey is designed as a sanctuary within your week. A place where gentle movement, guided breath, and deep rest come together to support your nervous system and restore a sense of inner steadiness.
In a world that often asks us to move quickly and give endlessly, Gentle Yoga with Laurie offers a rare pause β a space to soften, breathe, and return to yourself.
This is yoga as a practice of care, not performance.
The Experience
Each session is thoughtfully curated to feel grounding, spacious, and supportive.
Classes include:
β’ Slow, mindful movement
β’ Gentle stretching and joint mobility
β’ Guided breathwork to settle the mind
β’ Restorative stillness and deep relaxation
Gentle yoga is widely recognised for supporting nervous system regulation, improving sleep, easing physical tension, and reducing the effects of stress. With regular practice, many people notice a calmer mind, improved mood, and a deeper sense of balance in daily life.
These sessions are an opportunity to reset β physically, mentally, and emotionally.
A Journey, not a dropβin
This course is intentionally offered as a series to create a sense of continuity and gentle commitment to yourself.
Returning over time allows your body and mind to build familiarity with the practices. Through gentle repetition, the nervous system learns to access calm more easily, and the benefits begin to extend beyond the mat and into everyday life. This continuity is where the quiet transformation happens.
Many people begin to notice subtle but meaningful shifts β a steadier response to stress, more awareness of when they need rest, deeper and slower breathing during challenging moments, and a greater sense of presence with family and daily activities.
A Space for You
This space is especially supportive if you:
β’ Long for a softer, more nourishing practice
β’ Are new to yoga or returning gently
β’ Are experiencing stress or mental fatigue
β’ Feel stretched by modern life or family demands
No flexibility or experience is required.
There is nothing to achieve and nowhere to get to.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
A note from Laurie
Sessions are guided by Laurie Skerski who brings a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to teaching, shaped by her own journey with stress, anxiety, and learning how to regulate the nervous system in everyday life. She understands how modern life, work pressures, and family responsibilities can feel overwhelming, and how easily self-care slips down the list.
Yoga became a tool to find calm, steadiness, and space to breathe β and her classes gently share these tools in a way that feels realistic and accessible. The intention is to offer a welcoming space where you can:
β¨ Relax and unwind
β¨ Feel supported, not judged
β¨ Build simple tools for managing stress
β¨ Take time for yourself without guilt
Laurie is currently undertaking her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and teaches within that scope, prioritising safety, accessibility, and a welcoming atmosphere. Pricing reflects her current training stage and her commitment to offering inclusive, supportive yoga.
What to bring
Mats and yoga bricks are provided but feel free to bring your own mat and other props. Wear comfortable clothing β loose, cosy clothing is welcome and often more comfortable than tight traditional yoga wear. Water bottles welcome.
